Ye Olde Walking Dead Spoiler Thread

Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Isn't this why we have the spoiler tags now? Not my fault some people don't know when (or how) to use them.

It is. I don't care too much when/if I encounter spoilers. I just noticed that we didn't already have a thread for the show. It seems like the kind of topic people might like to have a thread for.

The "Assholes" post was made in jest. Some others may care, maybe. I think most of the people on the site who watch Walking Dead probably have access to cable. If I had cable access, I wouldn't be behind. Normally, I'd seek out the show through illicit means. I've been lazy.

I'll eventually catch up.

Maybe I'll watch the first couple seasons of Game of Thrones once I'm finished with Breaking Bad. I've been thinking of creating a "Goiter Finally Gets around to Watching Stuff Everybody Else Has Already Seen" thread. I haven't done it yet. Once again, laziness is the culprit.

You could write it whilst watching.

I wish I had spoilers for next season.... I mean, I suppose everyone could be wrong about what's really going on in Terminus. That would be interesting. It's never actually been confirmed. Everyone's just assuming because something similar happens in the comics.

How about some speculation? I don't think Carol, Tyreese & Judith made it to Terminus yet. I think they'll arrive just in time to help the gang escape.

I'm not sure the TV version of Tyreese can be counted on to be much help to anyone--unless things change significantly after the mid-season finale.

I'll find out soon enough. A kind friend just granted me access to the second half of the season.

I am the same with Thrones. I don't know the source material at all so everything is a constant surprise. Ned Stark in the 1st season and the Red Wedding had me literally out of my fucking chair!

Ah! A Song of Ice and Fire is worth the read! But don't try the audiobook version. The reader is terrible. Roy Dotrice may be a good actor, but he's terrible at book narration and makes all of the women sound like idiots.... plus, it's very awkward hearing him narrate the sex scenes.

I read the first book..... after the show..... and loved it. It was great that it added colour and filled in blanks I didn't know existed. But I was on a beach in the Maldives so the investment of time was no effort.

Haven't felt the motivation to hit book two yet. It's on my Kindle app waiting. Every time I start a new book I look at it in the menu and think "Now?" then talk myself out of it!

Bob just said, "I'm gonna try something." He then kissed Sasha. Smooth opening, Bob.

And now Bob's going on to find Maggie. Prediction: Sasha will bump into Maggie first. More than likely, she's camping out somewhere near where Sasha is stopping.

Watching "The Grove." Is this the storyline you said gets dark, Dalty?

SPOILER: I strongly suspect the older girl is going to kill either the younger girl, Judith, or both. If not this episode, then before the season is out. Then I'm guessing either Carol, Tyreese, or both will make the executive decision to kill her because she's fucked in the head and they can't trust her. Then they'll push the unresolved Carol/Tyreese tension.

There was a storyline in the comics where one of the boys clearly went fucked in the head. I guess this one mirrors it a bit. Carl killed that kid.
