I guess I won't bother posting about it in the Marc Maron thread.

I had no idea who that was until I watched GLOW, I enjoyed his character. I enjoyed his bottom of the barrel and might as well make myself at home personality.

I support a thread in his name.

If I come to a wrestling match with you Adam, can I be drunk?
It's encouraged! Just try not to throw too many bottles at the heels.

Oh and GLOW was awesome. Really, really enjoyable. The girlfriend even liked it and she only begrudgingly likes wrestling!

Bottles at heels? Why would I throw bottles at the back of shoes? Don't understand. Is that a tradition at wrestling?

I give you permission to throw bottles at the faces, Dalty.

They're not that big. Most of 'em are, like, my size.

I suppose you can take the opportunity to figure out whether or not they're genuinely skilled fighters.

He's mostly British-Canadian, but there's a touch of Greece thanks to a maternal great-grandmother.

I'd like to think that's the farthest you've ever stretched for a pun, but I'm concerned that it doesn't even crack the top 5

My favorite part of the match is the part where one of the turtles falls over on his back and pretends like he can't get up.

I've got an extra ticket with your name on it, Dimple!
I went on Sunday.

The main event was a clusterfuck and absolute nonsensical storytelling, but all in all the show was an absolute blast.

Takeaways:

1. AJ Styles and Finn Balor should wrestle each other at every show. Every show should just be a couple hours of them wrestling. Far and away the greatest match I've ever seen in person.

2. Alexa Bliss is the real fucking deal. She's turned into a wonderful mic worker and a pretty solid wrestler and the inevitable feud with Asuka is gonna be fantastic.

3. The Miz is the most underrated, underappreciated wrestler of this generation. He just cracks me up every time he's on the mic and at this point I'd call him an all time great chickenshit heel.

4. Kurt Angle's still got it.

THe end.

Damn! That's awesome! Where'd you meet him and what did you say?
He was at the Minneapolis Car Show, weirdly enough and it went exactly as Goiter said.

Except that it actually went more like this, I walked up when he was commenting to some staff member about how fast the line was moving.

Adam: "No complaints out of me!"
Bray: "Right, man? How you doin'?"
Adam: "Doing good! Great to meet you, big fan!"
Bray: "Thanks brother, appreciate that. Great to meet you as well."

*pause for photo op. Dude's got a helluva firm handshake*

Adam: "Thanks for doing what you do, man." *touches THE REAL WWE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT that was sitting on the table* "Really happy to see you finally get this."
Bray: "Oh you and me both brother." *belly laugh* "Have a good rest of your night."

He then finished off the line, left for a while, and came back and wandered around the floor of the stadium with the rest of us just looking at cars.

Random Lady: *stunned* "Well are you just walking around down here like a real person?!"
Bray: *stunned she'd ask such a strange question* "Well I just really like cars!"

He posed for photos with anybody who asked, shook hands, talked to anybody who approached him and I could hear him laughing any where on the show floor. Great, great guy.
I'm both saddened and pleased that there's been barely any activity in this thread for the past two (seriously? two years?) years. Saddened, because I was hoping there'd still be some hearty discussion going on. But pleased because now I'm all caught up on whatever posts I missed!

I should mention that I only recently got a chance to watch this year's Wrestlemania replay, and am still getting caught up on other pro wrestling storylines, but I'm frakking THRILLED for both Kofi and Becky Lynch, who've been two of my favorites. They both had the kind of year I'd always hoped they would, and I'm excited to see them as main event mainstays going forward.

I should add that I think WWE did a great job plotting the big feuds/storylines that led into Wrestlemania, though of course, they had to react to the organic explosion of support from the fans that finally pushed Kofi and Becky to the top.

The "New" Daniel Bryan was a terrific character change for one of the best in the world, and I love how they integrated the "B+ Player" criticism once directed at Daniel into his feud with Kofi. That made Daniel's heel turn feel that much more infuriating, which in turn brought more sympathy for Kofi. Well done, WWE Creative.

The Women's Main Event Triple Threat between Charlotte, Ronda, and Becky was brutally fantastic. As much as I dislike Rousey, she's really played a vital role in the Women's Division.

The Fatal Fourway for the Smackdown Tag Team belts was also terrific, and man, am I HYPED to see Aleister Black and Ricochet on the main roster -- especially Black, who is a future world champ and legend in the making. I expect to see him and Velveteen Dream as the Austin and Rock of their generation.

Those are just a few thoughts. Adam, any input? I loved that story about Bray, by the way. :)

Keep in mind I have gaps in my knowledge of specific events over this past year, but I'm hankerin' for some wrasslin' talk! ;)
