We know he was tight. Could you also say he was hard up?

It's spelled "Hfuhruhurr."

Just the way it's pronounced.

Current Annoyance: Will I Am as a judge on The Voice. Jesus...... or he seems to think he is!

I'll trade you one (1) will.i.am for one (1) Christina Aguilera. She's awful.

They put Shakira in her place for one season, and it was bliss. I'm not a huge fan of Shakira's music, but I like her personality a whole lot more.

Kanye West would be hilarious as a talent judge.

Anyway, so over here this year we get Willy a.m., Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson (from the Kaiser Chiefs) and Tom Jones.

Kanye would do what Christina does. He'd make everybody's talent about him.

So you get an American, an Aussie, a Welsh dude, and whatever the hell the Kaiser Chiefs guy is. I figure he's a Brit. You need at least one Brit.

Yeah, we had Willy a.m., Jessie J, Danny from The Script and Tom Jones last year.

Kylie may be an Aussie, but her fame is practically entirely based on her British career. And Wales is in Britain.

Willy a.m. though..... I am not sure where he thinks he is from.

I realize Wales is in Britain, just as I realize Scotland is in Britain. I was trying to be snobbish, and now you think I'm a fool!

*sniff*

Watch this space. Scotland might be going it alone next year.

That's good. They already speak a foreign language. When I lived in the UK, eons ago now, but I couldn't tell what the fuck the Scottish BT call center rep was saying to me.

It's a strange one. The 'Yes' to independence vote appears to be behind in the polls. Of course, the English have said that if it is a vote that breaks up the UK then we should all get a vote, not just the Jocks. The government will not let that happen though, as they know the English would happily vote for the Jocks to f**k right off!!

So they get to the end of a film (on TV). It's an ending with an emotional punch, with the fades, the music, the pause before the credits roll etc all timed perfectly to make you, as the viewer, just sit for a minute and contemplate what you have just seen.....

...and 'cos it's on TV some dipshit continuity announcer totally ruins the mood about 3 seconds into the titles to tell you what's up next.

Fuck.

It's pretty noticeable when I watch bootlegged Doctor Who episodes that were uploaded minutes after airing in the UK.

I haven't had too much access to first-run TV programming in a while, it seems to me it's done more on broadcast television during prime time. I don't think it's done as much with cable networks, and I don't think it's done at all with the premium networks.

Even the networks don't do it much with the daytime programming. Usually, the spot is used to give you a quick glance at the local news stories. They want to be sure to hook you for the local news broadcasts later on.

Mine would be close, but there would be room there for people who put extraneous apostrophes where they don't belong.
