IT MAKES NO SENSE AND I MUST SOLVE IT!
Han's not alive at the end of #3. They make a pretty big deal of him dying in #3. I think they even use the motor from the car he was killed in for Lucas Black's character's final racer. Where did you get that Han was still alive? (Maybe I'm having pronoun trouble. Maybe the "he" of "he's alive at the end of #3" is for some other character.)
Han's death in the stinger at the end of #6 is a flashback to his death in #3. The driver who kills him isn't revealed in #3. The stinger at the end of #6 reveals that the guy driving the car who killed Han was the character played by Statham. This means that everything that happens in #4-#6 was a prequel to #3. You point out that the Diesel character shows up in the stinger for #3. I assume we will learn that he was there to recruit the Lucas Black character for #6/#7/to help them get the Statham character.
Statham plays the brother of #6's main bad guy. The Statham character's murder of Han, I'm presuming, is retaliation for the death of his brother in #6.
I'm assuming Statham's character's brother is killed in #6. Haven't seen it. I've only seen #3, #5, and the stinger from #6, but all the above seemed pretty clear to me.
