The Fast & Furious Thread

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

It would also all be the fault of the West! All that needless driving of women.

Well, in fairness, between Lindsay Lohan, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon, perhaps they have a point... just perhaps. ;)

I get this feeling that Steve Jobs is to blame less often than you want to believe.

It would be funny if the countdown just stopped at 7. Forever.

That wouldn't be funny at ALL, Dalty. You shut your mouth!

I'm making it my aim to watch the prior 6 movies over the next week, culminating with #7 on Friday.

Though if any need to be cut for time, I'm cutting Tokyo Drift. Not eager to see that again. *shudder*

No. I hate it because it's the How I Met Your Mother finale of Fast & Furious films.

I haven't seen any of them. Will I be able to enjoy FF7 anyhow? Or will the complexity of the plotline be too overwhelming?

My understanding is that #7 is going to basically pick right up where #6 left off, so you might want to track down that one first.

It is a highly intelligent film series with a dense mythology to sort through, after all. One can never be too prepared for a Fast & Furious film.

It ain't that bad. I'd like to see the lead looped back into the franchise somehow. Also it includes the other guy who is kinda important to the franchise.

At least that is what I would say if I cared (embarrassed cough).......

The graphics of FF7 haven't aged well at all, so you may not enjoy that. The polygonal art style was charming for a while, but now it just looks dated. The plot is probably going to be overwhelming, even if you're prepared to read every line of dialog, because the Japanese can't design a straight-forward story for some reason. It all boils down to an environmentalist message, though.

It can't be Japanese. If it was then the cars would all combine into a tentacled rapey-monster and it would have a title that was nonsensical unrelated words. It would be called Hitler Shitbucket Dandelion.

I just realized that not only does the movie come out this Friday, without even planning it...this Friday is my first day off from both jobs since January!

Destiny right there, gang. Destiny.

I wish I didn't live my life a quarter mile at a time. These last two days of waiting are just going to draaaaaaag.
