The Fast & Furious Thread

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

And 20 seconds per overly bombastic soundtrack item.

But less than an hour per metre of that runway in episode 6.

It really is! Think of the number of vests the tubby guy can make dirty in that time! And the number of inexplicable thunking gear changes in automatic transmission cars!

If you're badass enough to be able to start your car in fifth gear, you never need to change gears. You'll probably need to change *cars* soon, sure, but you can keep that stick right where it's at.

If he is doing massively macho thunking gear changes in an auto transmission he has bigger problems. Until the man in the dirty vest reaches a corner at speed and realises then he is driving an American muscle car, at which point he is probably more worried about going backwards through the Pearly Gates on his roof...... on fire!

You know, Tokyo Drift deals with this very thing.

The Japanese do make good laundry machines to keep those vests less dirty.

Not if their laundry machines, too, only pretend to run water.

I remain firm in my belief that you are the only supporter of that film in the entire world.

You mean Lucas Black? He was twenty-two when principal photography began and twenty-three when it was released. I'd say that's fairly average for Hollywood. You may remember him best as the little kid in Sling Blade.

Matthew Broderick was twenty-three when principal photography began on Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Alan Ruck was twenty-nine.

He's from Alabama. He still considers Alabama home. It ages a person.

I'd bet Dalty was thinking of Lucas Black's Furious 7 cameo, in which he's a 40 year old actor playing a 22 year old playing a 17 year old.

I'd actually give him that one.

Give Dalty an inch, and he'll take a mile. A long, long, long mile. Longer, even, than the runway in Fast & Furious 6.

Which, ironically enough, he's named Lucas Black.
