Tonight Japanese television introducted me to 自然薯 (jinenjo, or "wild yam").

It is an incredibly long and skinny root:

And when you grate it, it instantly turns into white snot-cum which, judging by the yummy sounds they were making tonight, must be orgasmically delicious:
