Euro 2016

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

There is a comfy tree outside his house where, with a good pair of binoculars, you can watch Mal watching Euro 2016.

I'll watch what can. Honestly, though, the expansion of the tournament to 24 teams is a bit silly. That's, like, half of Europe! Hardly seems like the cream of the crop.

We can look forward to gems such as Albania vs. Switzerland and Iceland vs. Austria.

Most of the games are going to be airing during working hours over here, so I won't be able to watch a lot of them live anyway.

4-3-3 with Rooney in midfield and Vardy on the bench. Interesting choice.

Due to the time difference, I haven't caught much of it, been watching more of the COPA instead.

Hungary defeated Austria 2:0 today. Bad omen for Germany and their game against Poland on Thursday?

So all the first set of matches finished. Nobody looked staggeringly amazing yet.

Which means Ze Germans will probably win it again.

I had the sueddeutsche live feed up for the Germany-Poland game. It soon morphed into things like this:

Yeah, looks about right. Germany played without a real center forward for the majority of the game and Poland played what looked like an 8-1-1 formation. An inevitable stalemate.

Just like the Russia game we battered them all over the fucking park in every department but were woeful in the final third. They were ahead because of one moment of genius by Bale and even that had to be gifted buy a total blunder by Hart in goal. Luckily this time the boss did some substitutions that actually worked.

Slovakia v England. If England win they top the group. If Wales win vs Russia then Wales top the group. No pressure then!

England should just push for a Money in the Bank scenario. It won't matter how shitty they are in the final third as long as they can get their hands on that briefcase.
