What are you lookin' at?! Right now...

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I'm two episodes into the Punisher. I really liked the first episode but the trailer has promoted a conspiracy/military bent to the show.
I like my Punisher out on the streets, killing gangsters. Or Moscow, rescuing children.

But, so far so good I feel. Not fully buying Shane as the Punisher, but I'll give him a solid try.

Stuck at my parents house for the holiday, I finally got around to watching some stuff. Watched Bright. Found it interesting and I would like to learn more about the lore of the world.
Watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Once again, probably one of the funniest Marvel movies and I am interested in seeing them in Infinity War.

Just watching The Right Stuff, an old favourite. It has held up extremely well, in my opinion. All the super whizbang special fx in the world can't compete with real footage! And talk about an ensemble cast.

I just watched that a couple weeks ago! All those great actors in their prime—it holds up extremely well.

I've just watched the final two Dave Chappelle Netflix specials. They're called "Equanimity" and "The Bird Revelation".

In "Equanimity", Dave Chappelle addresses the backlash from the transgender community in response to his earlier-in-2017 Netflix specials. "The Bird Revelation" is more intimate than the other three specials from this year.

I plan to watch all four of the 2017 Dave Chappelle specials again and to take notes on them while I do so. I'll type them up when I've finished.

Lotsa love for Mr. Chapelle.

Field of Dreams right now. I haven't seen it in at least two decades, at least.

I finally got around to seeing Thor:Ragnarok. Engrossing and fun, and surprisingly(to me, at least), quite emotionally satisfying. No moments of mentally checking my watch. I would actually place it above The Last Jedi in terms of the overall experience, to be honest. Which was a bit of a surprise to me. The Thor movies have always tried to be Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars, but have never quite managed to get it right.

This time they did. I am genuinely looking forward to Infinity War[/].

Loved Thor 3. If you have Hulu, check out Taika Waititi’s previous film, “Hunt for the Wilderpeople.” Brilliant and funny on a muuuuch smaller scale.

I am still to watch “What We Do In The Shadows” which is one of his, isn’t it? I hear good things.

Just rewatched the brilliant The Prestige, now also rewatching Pulp Fiction, yet again.

I guess it's all about non-linear presentations of time tonight.

Just saw Black Panther. Un-fucking-believable movie. It's definitely moved up towards the top of my Marvel rankings.

I thought I'd try Steve Jobs on Netflix. Sorkin, Boyle, Fassbender, Rogen. Et al.

Jobs is pretty solid. I have no idea as to it's historical accuracy, or lack thereof, but it flows very well and gives it's leads plenty of neat dialogue to go to town with.

Are you still talking about Steve Jobs in that second post, or are you talking about Jobs?

Somebody really ought to do a Pirates of Silicon Valley/Jobs/American Genius: Jobs vs. Gates/Steve Jobs super-mashup.

Intercut with images from the shojo-manga Steve Jobs. Part of Kodansha Comics' "Deluxe Kiss" line.

My Mom and I have been digging a series called Bloodline on tha Netflizzle. I see it as a serious, dark take on a soap opera. Father doesn't like all the bad language, though. I guess no-one ever said "fuck" in the '50's...

It's a pretty tight story, Ben Mendelson(sp?) is a real pro. I'm just in the first season and I can tell where it's heading--and it ain't pretty.
