Bulking up for The Dark Knight Rises Damaged Tom Hardy's Body

Choice Quote:

"I don’t want to give too much away about it, but there’s definitely a transformation with that role. I don’t know if it’s as drastic as Bane. I’ve probably damaged my body too much. I’m only little! If I keep putting on weight I’ll collapse like a house of cards under too much pressure."

I loved Hardy in TDKR. Good use of camera angles etc. in that movie. Hardy as Bane looked, sounded and felt pretty menacing, in my opinion.

That being said; I have occasionally opined that Duane Johnson, aka The Rock, might have been an equally awesome Bane.

Not to mention Khan Singh, in Star Trek Into Darkness. Properly written and directed, that could have been a career defining role.

Again, just my opinion.......

I really hope the Shazam! movie happens. I think Johnson will be a Black Adam for the ages. He was born to play that role.

He's a man mountain of pure charisma.
