May Santa’s sack be bulging especially for you!

The Swollen Sack of Santa busted wide open at the base of our Christmas tree. Now we wait patiently for the kid to wake up and see.

I should note that, as far as I know, the kid understands that all the presents are from family. It's hard enough communicating with her. Tenses and verbs and notions of truth are complicated enough. We didn't want to confuse her with an elaborate lie about where her gifts came from. This is the first year that her grasp of language has been strong enough for her to understand that she will have gifts waiting for her when she wakes up.

I am somewhere between a cold and a flu right now, and the roads to my sister's place are snowed in.

Christmas has been postponed.

I never want to eat another food ever again.

Not even a wafer-thin mint?
