Current Non-Annoyance

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

True enough. When he got started he went by his real name, Bryan Danielson. Then he got to the WWE, they said "No no, that won't do" and switched him to the much more wrestler-y Daniel Bryan.

I'm with you. Jesus X needs to be somebody's gimmick.

And he should have a Hispanic sidekick called Jesús XX.

Man, I should be a writer for WWE. This stuff practically writes itself!

The fact it has writers speaks volumes.

The Wyatt Family don't write themselves, Dalty.

Mick Foley changed his characters a lot. He did it so much that it was even part of his shtick.

The absolute dumbest part of his shtick was his be-socked Mandible Claw. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of dumb in a lot of his shtick. The Mandible Claw out-dumbed it all, though. It was the kind of dumb that's so dumb it impresses you.

There's a great video on YouTube of Mick morphing from Mankind to Cactus Jack literally as he walks down the aisle to the ring. The announcers going crazy makes me laugh every time I watch it. "OH MY GAWD! He...he...THAT'S CACTUS JACK! CACTUS JACK IS BACK!"

Also...it's a TV Show. Nobody pretends that it's truly a random sporting competition anymore. Hell, they call themselves "sports entertainment." The fact that it has writers speaks no volumes at all.

I don't think he'd mind you telling him how I feel.

Dude worked his ass off. He invested himself in his shticks/craft like few professional wrestlers before him had. He was always trying for something new. I admire his boldness, but some of what he came up with was so jaw-droppingly stupid that it surprised even me.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Quite literally threw everything he had into the sport.

His autobiographies are good reads too. Even if they lead to a glut of wrestler autobiographies.

Today I received my copy of "Game of Thrones" season three in the mail. Not having HBO I am very excited to get caught up.
It's going to take a little bit though, watching GoT is an event I do with my father and my girlfriend and my work scheduled is less flexible than it used to be.
I think i'm going to have to burn some vacation time and take a few Saturdays off.

Robocop's upset. He's a big Kane fan, but he got a little mixed up. Thought Kane was supposed to be in Michigan today. Maybe he's over it. Let's check in with him:

Nope. He's still pissed.

Season 3 was pure awesomeness. Enjoy. I am a little jealous that you will get to be discovering it, and I am already spent.

No. I was just making yet another joke at good ol' msun's expense. I'm pretty sure I told him about this place. I know I told Ipsy.

I just haven't gotten around to it. I still have The Wire to watch. I still have Breaking Bad to finish. I still have to see how much worse both Being Human shows can get.

Aww, Dalty, you don't have to do that.

I do have the whole first season on an external hard drive. I just haven't gotten around to watching it.

Watch it! Watch it good!

You've read the books though, so won't have the same child eyed wonder thing going on that I do.

Be forewarned: I'll probably gripe about it once I start watching it.
