My company's policy of jump-start during the summer. Basically, we get out 2 hours early every friday. Happy hour starts early.

It's slang for "orangutan sex."

It's a fancy word for "report cover. So of course I couldn't think of the phrase "report cover" when I went to Staples. Luckily the helpful Staples employee knew what I meant, although he said it gave him flashbacks to Catholic school.

Ah, the ol' I-confused-the-quote-button-for-edit-button trick. An obvious post-count-inflation ploy!

Or the result of two straight months of homework without a break.

The weird weather patterns of Dallas, Texas. Storming downtown, 45 minute/13 mile train ride and it's sunny and dry. Which is good cause my car was parked at the train station with no top and the windows down.

More than half of the people who have them have the same question.

It's a pension, right?

It's what companies have now so they don't have to do pensions. Employees putting in a percentage of their choice from their check into essentially a stocks account.

Right, yup. Same as a UK pension now. Pay into a fund throughout working life then cash in for an annuity on retirement. I worry I don't save enough.

You're getting up there a bit in years, mate. Might be time to scale back to only 10 or 11 tropical island vacations per year and start thinking about the future.

I just realized all the Star Trek series are on Netflix.

So much for my mid-year resolution to get a life.

You know, F1 has always appealed to me more than NASCAR ever did. I just can't see the attraction to 400 left turns, separated by the occasional disaster and yellow flag. Tracks that accommodate 80 to 100 thousand people just boggles me. I guess this should be in the "teach Dalty American" thread. Why is NASCAR so popular? The chance of accident is just as likely in F1, so the potential for horrific specticle is there. It vexes me. I am vexed.
