Noteworthy Videos - Game Room Edition

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Noteworthy Videos - Game Room Edition

Post by Mal Shot First » June 3rd, 2016, 10:10 pm

This YouTube channel called RetroAhoy has a number of videos on the history of a number of iconic video game titles. Their production quality is pretty impressive and they're generally well narrated.

I just finished watching an Id Software trilogy that's worth checking out.

I started creating a specific thread for "Let's Play" videos, but I decided to use this thread, instead.

I hadn't watched any Markiplier videos in a while, so I decided to revisit some of his stuff. Apparently, people hate him now, say he's gotten too big for his britches, and mock him for dyeing his hair. I don't know about all that, but I recently watched this 2014 video of him playing Terrorift, and it made me laugh pretty hard:

He does. He's worked it in elsewhere in the past. I can't remember the specific videos, but quotes pop up from time to time.

His Oculus Rift horror reviews are all pretty entertaining. He actually got so scared he cried while reviewing this one:

It's not surprising. There's a serious Weeping Angel vibe with those gargoyles.

This one's also pretty good:

These specific Oculus Rift horror games all seem pretty samey. I think there are some out there with a different feel to them, but most of the ones I've seen are dungeon crawlers that have a Korean Horror Girl Ghost pop up somewhere in them. I think at least a couple of them are part of a series.
