Still haven't revisited Batman: Arkham Origins, since I got stuck on Deathstroke.
Watching Charlie Brooker's excellent 2hr documentary 'How Video Games Changed The World' that was on over Xmas.

I'm not playing anything. I'm not even playing Escape at the moment. I've mentioned Escape, right? I like it.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I finally installed Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse and have played about four hours of it (the progress bar tells me this is about a quarter of the game).
I was a big fan of the original Broken Sword and also liked the sequel, although it was sort of missing something that was there in the first one. The third game in the series was a big departure from the meticulously hand-painted characters and backgrounds (by former employees of Bluth Studios, no less) to 3-D models and environments. When the fourth installment came out, I figured I'd pass on it, especially since it wasn't getting great reviews.
No. 5 is at least a partial step back to the roots. First of all, it was kickstarted, so the core team at Revolution Software was able to deliver the product both they and the fans wanted. Second, they decided to merge 3-D models with hand-painted environments. The cel-shaded characters took some getting used to, especially because they sometimes look too clean and smooth in comparison to the intricately designed surroundings, but the game still looks beautiful. The story is engaging so far, but as with the second game in the series, I feel like something is just slightly off. Maybe it's just that the character designs are different. It could also just be that I really enjoyed the story about the Knights Templar in the first one, and all the other stories just didn't quite measure up (sort of like the Indiana Jones vs. Nazis situation).
Anyway, I'm excited that I'm finally getting around to it. I received it as a birthday present from my sister last year and it was just sitting on my Steam shelf for a while.

I think you gave me the first Broken Sword, Mal. It's on an old laptop. I never got around to playing it, and now I'm not even sure I still have access to it.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Currently playing Bloodborne on PS4, but I'm also still playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, which I probably won't finish until DA4 comes out.
Like most married gamers with kids, I have a backlog of games that are in barely-played, mostly-finished, almost-finished, and (of course) haven't-started-yet status.

On December 20, 2019, the Greatest Saga Ever... concludes.

I'm not married and have no kids. I have games like that because I am shit at them and have no determination.

Got a couple of hours in to Fallout 4. Looks great, seems huge, and I still have no idea what to do with the crafting part of the game.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Goddamnit, Fallout is sucking me in like it usually does. I was up until 1:30 last night doing quests and crafting upgraded armors and weapons. Not to mention the town-building they added, I keep finding something to do and have a hard time turning off the Xbox.

If it makes you feel any better, I was I up until almost five this morning washing clothes, coloring a page in a book titled My First Dot-to-Dots, and watching Jessica Jones. I woke up around seven something. That's when Jubbers wakes up and starts getting ready for work.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Fallout 4 is still calling me with it's siren song. I keep meaning to advance the main quest, but every time I head back to Sanctuary to drop off all my junk, repair my armor, and upgrade my stuff, I get sucked into a new Settlement mission or some random settler asks me to save their friend. This usually leads me to discover some random site on the map and that opens up all kinds of new quests.

Re: What are you playing right now?
That feels like the best way to do a fallout game.
I managed to resist the pull, gonna wait until they drop a GotY version and pick that up.
Since the beginning of December I have beaten "Sunset Overdrive" (Fun game, very frantic but a joy to play) and I have been spending time in two of the free-to-play games, "Neverwinter" and "Warframe".
Neverwinter is amusing, but the tell-tell MMO trappings are too prevalent and while they have a way to play completely for free the economy has been messed up so that it takes extreme levels of grind to get anything. That said, I'm a super serious hobbit ranger and I should be acquiring a snow sled tomorrow.
Warframe is awesome. Feels like what I wanted from "Destiny" but better, and for free. You are some sort of ninja/cyborg/jedi.
I also got "Star Wars Battlefront" for Christmas and have been putting time in on that, and this week I should be receiving "Rainbow Six Siege".
