The Middle-East / Radical Islam

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

You can see the atheists' dilemma, then.
Seriously, though, can you name a "credible" party?

Gee, I hope Cameron doesn't think of me as a "terrorist sympathizer."

Corbyn and McDonnell genuinely are terrorist sympathisers. Cameron's use of the phrase in the lead up to this debate though was ill-timed and unnecessary.

Re: The Middle-East / Radical Islam
Is it wrong that these days, when I think that the Middle East is turning itself apart a voice in my head says "Let it!" ??

Re: The Middle-East / Radical Islam
I occasionally have a similar voice in my head. I think we all do.
But then I also have a voice in my head at 1 am telling me to buy drinks for the fat girl at the end of the bar. A little judgement goes a long way.
To answer your question, if you ignore the extent to which Western governments have exacerbated, or even outright caused, the unrest in the Middle East, often as a direct result of official policy, then yes, your little voice is wrong.
Policies such as: toppling regimes we don't like; providing aid to "freedom fighters" who are neither interested in freedom, nor are particularly good fighters; and selling about a HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS worth of modern arms to SA, various other Gulf States, and Israel.

Re: The Middle-East / Radical Islam
It's kind of confusing to know at this point what may be the best course of action in any of these situations. George W. Bush committed U.S. troops to a full "liberation"/invasion/restructuring of Iraq and failed miserably in his mission to stabilize the region. In 2011, Obama agreed to deploy limited U.S. forces in a supporting role in the military intervention in Libya, which also can't be considered a success. With the Syrian conflict, Obama has chosen to stay out pretty much altogether (only launching drone strikes). This also hasn't worked out all that well.
Could it be that the wrong options were chosen at the wrong times? It's possible. But it's also possible that any international (military) involvement only exacerbates the situation. I'm just glad I don't have to make these judgment calls.

They're obviously setting up a joke with this headline.
