Star Wars: Rogue One

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Star Wars: Rogue One
So we have a Star Wars movie coming out in less than 3/4 of a year....... where is the trailer, or the teaser?? Or something?
We have only had a comic-con clip so far haven't we??

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
I don't think it's that weird. Most big trailer pushes don't happen until a movie is two-three months out. Disney's probably been waiting to attach something to one of their summer blockbusters. That way, it gives Star Wars fans incentive to go to these blockbusters, and it makes sure tons of people see the teaser/trailer all at once.
I also imagine they're waiting until after The Force Awakens is out on video. It's probably not a bad idea to keep from crossing the Star Wars promotional streams.

I must be too used to 24 month lead times and preview teasers for teasers.

Disney probably realizes that they don't need to trick people into looking forward to a Star Wars movie.

Also, probably needs careful management with a movie every year to not over saturate and devalue the Star Wars brand. Stop fatigue setting in - possibly why the April release for TFA BluRay is upon us when TFA is still in theatres.

It just made good business sense. Disney usually makes good business sense.

It was a very good trailer, indeed. I'm excited.
And I'm VERY curious who that cloaked and hooded figure is in the shot with the Royal Guards, because it doesn't appear to be Vader.

I am really excited by the idea of a Jedi free heist/war movie set in a place we are all comfortable with. I am really looking forward to this.

Yeah - I hate people!
In all seriousness, whereas the Internet bought me years of movie related joy when I first discovered fellow geeks in chat rooms, it now brings me grumpiness mostly at fellow geeks.

That's because it's become democratized any old idiot can find a way to spout dumbfuckery all over the place. Back in day it took smarts to find these forums, thus inviting a higher quality of poster.

Behold, the final trailer for Rogue One. And it is simply phenomenal. I had tears in my eyes while watching it.

It looks beautiful. It really does. Plot, script, acting etc. will have to wait and see. But it looks incredible.

No doubt people will hate it, like they hate TFA. This is because people don't deserve nice things.
