Still playing Fallout 4, just now got back on track and following the main quest. Also, Xbox Games with Gold had Boarderlands for free. Downloaded that and since it's backwards compatible, I have been playing it on my Xbox One. Damn, it's a fun FPS/RPG mashup.

Re: What are you playing right now?
This month's free game is Dead Space. Been playing that all morning, fun but gets annoying when the Big Bad cuts all the air in a level and I have to hustle through it low on ammo and oxygen.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I remember "Dead Space" being a fun game. I loved the initial cutter weapon, it was all I used in the game.
With it coming out free I may grab it for my XBone and try out an experiment I wanted to try, see if it made the game more tense.
I had this theory that Issac could easily be deaf, especially since the menus and comms pop up as an in-game holo device. Add subtitles and it seems like a device tailor made to help the hearing impaired. So i'd cut off all the sound and play the game that way, see what happens when I drop out one of my senses (also preview how i'll likely turn out in a few years)

Re: What are you playing right now?
Dead Space and Dead Space 2 are fantastic games. One of my favorite series from last-gen, with some of the best use of sound effects in recent gaming history. Not to mention fantastic visuals.
It's too bad they went a bit off-course in the third game, though. I'd love to see Visceral make a fourth entry.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I forgot to mention that I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition (as well as its "Trespasser" DLC, which effectively ends the story and sets up DA4) a couple months ago. I'm nearly done with Bloodborne and am hoping to finish it by this weekend so I can begin Dark Souls III, which I picked up on Tuesday.

Re: What are you playing right now?
This month's free games are Saint's Row IV and Sunset Overdrive. Also downloaded The Lords of the Fallen since it was the last day of it being free. Haven't played the other two, but damn Saints Row is a shit-ton of fun. It's like the Matrix meets a superhero game. And it helps that you can skin your weapons like famous movie props. My pistol is currently the DL-44 of Han Solo. My Submachine gun is the gun from Robocop.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I have problems with "Saints Row 4" and 3 as well, but they are mostly petty and philosophical in nature. It is a fun game though, I am happy to now own the remasters SR4 for XBONE and the backwards-compatible version so I can play the game with my buddy, and my girlfriend who has not moved on to the XBONE.
I love killing time in the game just hopping around, trying to land my jumps perfectly on top of clusters.
I've been trying to do more with "Rainbow Six Siege". I love the game, but I've never been super 'online friendly'.
Also, I continue to play "Warframe" every night that I have the chance. That game is stupidly fun/addictive.
I think I have a problem.

Thanks to the new backward compatibility, I loaded up Call of Duty:Black Ops and started playing multiplayer again. Fun game, and I liked the maps.

Bought Overwatch. Pretty good game, but I miss the aiming-down-sight function that other FPS games have. Still, the characters and their abilities are pretty cool and the game is fast-paced and fun.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Damn you Microsoft for making XCOM backward compatible. I was up until 4 in the morning playing the game, even though I've already finished once on the 360.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I'm old schooling some RTS games lately. I have the Cossacks anthology and it's eating all of my free time. Very difficult game particularly in campaign mode. Also starting Empire Earth 2. Love the classics.
Oh. And the original Tropico game. Still fun and rather unique.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Back to playing Civ 3 on an old lap top. Love that game. The best in the franchise imho. I have actually neglected to update my operating system to Windows 10 for fear of not being able to play this game anymore. The two sequels kinda lost the scale and epic feel that the third one seemed to have. They had more of an arcade style I think, although the Nimoy narration on Civ 4 was simply awesome.

Have you ever played Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri? It's a pretty good game. Sort of like Civilization but in space.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I haven't played it, but if someone had told me Sid Meier created a game called Alpha Centauri and had asked me to guess what it was like, "Civilization in space" would have been my first guess. I also would have assumed right away that it was pretty sweet.

I was a Railroad Tycoon man myself, back in my Commodore Amiga days.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Thought I'd update this to say I finally finished Bloodborne a few weeks ago, so much later than that weekend in April I had initially targeted. Such is the way of the Married with Kids Gamer.Master Skywalker wrote:I forgot to mention that I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition (as well as its "Trespasser" DLC, which effectively ends the story and sets up DA4) a couple months ago. I'm hoping to start Dark Souls III this week, but I also picked up Fallout 4 last week (there was a great deal on it I couldn't pass up). I still have to finish Fallout 3 on the 360 at some point, though.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I jumped back into Fallout 4 due to the new DLC. I Finally got around to advancing the main storyline, finished the initial Railroad quest, and did Nick Valentine's companion quest. Still playing Overwatch a lot, and been playing Fallout Shelter on my phone due to it's 1.6 update.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Since Fallout: New Vegas has been made backward compatible, I started playing that yesterday. Never finished it on the 360, but was a majority of the way through when I upgraded hardware. It's amazing how fast you can get through a fallout game when you basically ignore all the side quests and shit because you've already done them.

I've been playing No Man's Sky for the past few days, and will post my thoughts soon.Dalty wrote:I want to buy No Man's Sky but I have a job and a partner and a baby on the way......
If it's any consolation, I'm a married gamer with a 3-year old, and really have to pick and choose when I can play. I go through stretches where I'm unable to play for weeks at a time, which hasn't helped my ever-increasing backlog.
