We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Your post encouraged me to look up "aptronym" on wikipedia. The Swollen Goiter of God wrote:"National Socialist" is something of an inaptronym.
It gave me a good chuckle. I needed that. Long day.

I thought Wolverine's not supposed to age.

Re: Trailers
He ages. He just does it at a much slower rate. He's also not traditionally supposed to scar. There may be some unknown factors at play. Maybe he was exposed to a character like Leech for a while and lost his regenerative powers.
It occurs to me that there's no way Logan would be able to age that much and still have a living Professor X available to hang with. I'm guessing either that Xavier has body-hopped into someone else and is using telepathy to give himself his old appearance or that he's a figment of Logan's imagination. Or maybe a Logan from the distant future has gone back in time like he did in Days of Future Past. I guess we'll see.
I know this movie is supposed to have loose ties to Millar's non-616 "Old Man Logan" arc in Wolverine, but I only read an issue or two, and it's clear it will have to be significantly different. There's no chance for Hulk in this (because of the ongoing Fox/Disney issues), and Hulk's a huge part of "Old Man Logan."

Re: Trailers
From Gamespot's breakdown of the trailer:
Director James Mangold told Empire, "One of the things we all thought about as we worked on this film is, well, we don’t want to rebuild everything. We want to have some questions. In order to make a different Logan, and a different tone of a Wolverine movie, we felt like we couldn’t hold on to every tradition established in all the movies religiously, or we’d be trapped by the decisions made before us. So we questioned whether Logan’s healing factor causes him to heal without even a scar. We imagined that it may have when he was younger, but with age, he’s getting older and ailing. Perhaps his healing factor no longer produces baby-soft skin. So we imagined he heals quickly, still, but it leaves a scar. The simple idea was that his body would start to get a little more ravaged with a kind of tattooing of past battles, lacerations that remain of previous conflicts."

Re: Trailers
I admit, it's got me excited. I loved Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, really like Daredevil and Iron Fist. Bringing them together seems like a good premise. Be interesting to see if there is any tie-ins to the larger MCU. I know they aren't closely tied, but it would be interesting to see if there's any fallout from the Civil War stuff.

Even in costume and with makeup, James Franco is still more handsome than Tommy Wiseau.

I fear that Franco the Lesser's fake beard will be a real distraction for me.

A bigger distraction than Seth Rogen's Seth-Rogen-ness?

Re: Trailers
I've ingested so much Rogen over the years that Rogen-ness almost feels like a part of me.
