We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

A lot of people are saying.

I can't believe I never realized this until now, but "Twinkle, Twinke, Little Star" and the alphabet song have the same melody.

The melody existed some decades before Mozart's twelve (or more/less) variations on it, though his twelve (or more/less) variations on it did (I think) help to popularize the original melody. I'm pretty sure the original melody is French, and I'm pretty sure the "Twinkle, Twinkle" lyrics followed a couple decades later and are of British origin. I'm still in Alabama, though, and the Internet is being too wonky for me to risk a search. (I'm not even sure if this will post when I click "Submit.")

"Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" is also built around the same melody, I learned. I learned this thanks to Jubboiter's physical therapist, who used to sing it to Jubboiter as she was stretching Jubboiter's neck. I knew the "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" lyrics, but I didn't connect them to a melody. For me, they'd always just been a nursery rhyme. I also didn't know that "Hey Diddle Diddle" had ever been set to music. It, too, was just a nursery rhyme to me. The first time I ever heard Jubboiter's motorized rocker playing the melody, it reminded me of a Super Mario melody. (I think it was something from Super Mario World, but I could be wrong about that.) I asked Jubbers what the hell this unfamiliar-to-me melody was supposed to be (all the other melodies were melodies I knew), and she looked at me like I was some kind of moron. "Don't you know 'Hey Diddle Diddle'?" she asked.

I'm thinking of buying U2 tickets. They're playing in Toronto in June.

Gonna be expensive.

Always loved their stuff. I think it's worth it.

At work we have signs all over the place sternly telling us to "Lift With Your Brain!"

When I see them, I always say to myself, "...Like Magneto!!"

If they put up signs saying "Cry with your hands" and "Melt with your penis" then it's time to accept that your company is just fucking with your head.

A Great Dane dog can run at over 35mph flat out. When Scooby and Shaggy flee from a ghost or monster Shaggy is always keeping up with him, making Shaggy faster than Usain Bolt.
