Cancelled Shows
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

In news that surprises no one, Raising Hope is officially cancelled.

Re: Cancelled Shows
In equally unsurprising news, I really like Raising Hope a lot. It's such a sweet show.

No official cancellation yet, but Rake has been shipped off to Fridays. Nice knowin' ya, Kee.

Re: Cancelled Shows
I don't feel like Friday is the death sentence it once was. Didn't Bones survive there for a long time? Plus that Tim Allen show is going to get picked up for it's fourth season on Fridays pretty soon here.

Re: Cancelled Shows
Moving a show to Friday is one of 3 signs of cancellation. 3 of the 3 signs means sure cancellation. 1 of 3 means probable cancellation.
The other 2 signs are airing double episodes every week, and airing new episodes of shows during holiday weeks when all other shows are airing reruns. Raising Hope had all 3 signs, so there was no doubt it was a goner, despite Fox kind of talking around it up until making it official.
I don't think Bones was on Fridays too long. Maybe a month, though not sure. Kah would know.

Re: Cancelled Shows
Oh, no doubt. Raising Hope only came back this year at all so that they could sell it into syndication. I believe the ratings for it this year were only a tiny bit worse than last year when it aired on Tuesdays.
I'll go look up Bones' schedule history quick. You've got me curious now.

Re: Cancelled Shows
It appears that Bones has aired on every single night of the week except for Saturday and Sunday, though you're right about Fridays. It aired there for ~6 weeks this season until it moves/moved back to Mondays this month.

14 shows likely/certain to get cancelled this year. Nothing too shocking, though I think Kyle Killen's TV Curse might be even more powerful than my own.

I still really hate how you guys just bin shows mid-run. Somebody should break into Adam's apartment and smash his TV to fuck.

Re: Cancelled Shows
I really miss "Terriers" even if it was only on for one season. Even worse is the inability to own it on DVD.
"No Ordinary Family" was a lot of fun as well.
Also, obligatory "firefly" reference.
