Alabama, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Not that they'd admit to the presence of any fruits.

Arab Police Arrest Naked Man "Living" in a Tree
Arab's about thirty-five miles from my hometown. Our football teams played one another. They were a 5A school and we were a 2A school (Arab is about five times more populous than Crossville), but we still won.
Winning at football is one of the five or six things that matter to the average Alabaman.

I'm honestly a little surprised that we're 13 years after 9/11 and the town of Arab, Alabama has yet to change it's name.

Re: Alabama, Ladies and Gentlemen!
They pronounce it differently. Since no one in Alabama can spell, no one noticed.

Re: Alabama, Ladies and Gentlemen!
How is it pronounced? I figured there were only so many directions one could go with that word.

Re: Alabama, Ladies and Gentlemen!
People from Arab are very quick to tell you it was a misspelling, an that it was supposed to be "Arad." From Wikipedia:
"The name of the town was an unintentional misspelling by the U.S. Postal Service in 1882 of the city's intended name, taken from Arad Thompson, the son of the town founder and first postmaster Stephen Tuttle Thompson."

You'll notice that the people there were nice, and that the video crew's fears were unfounded.

I have a love/hate relationship with it, if you couldn't tell.
I could show you around. I know some places.

Do you have to have a dick to be a dick?
