Current Annoyances
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Dalty still hasn't registered.
It's a delicate ecosystem, Dalty. If you're not posting threads and thoughts for the rest of us to respond to, the whole thing crumbles.
No pressure.
No homo.

It's possible that the site isn't visible to him or accessible yet. It can take up to 3 days for all of the DNS servers around the world to realize that a new site exists. I'm pretty surprised it appeared for us as quickly as it did.

Could be. I messaged him the URL and told him to bring Spacey to us.
Not that he has Spacey's contact info. Whether or not he does, I'm going to blame him if Spacey never shows.

Annoyance: I now have a lower post count than Goiter, which means there's no possible way I'll ever catch up.
I shot Spacey an email. Or at least I believe it was Spacey. If we get a kindly stranger wandering through here, then I guess I didn't shoot Spacey an email after all.

Does he do Facebook? I feel like I remember him saying he doesn't. Then again, I wouldn't put it past a person to say this to me to get out of being my Facebook friend.
I mostly only notified people who were currently still posting on Corona, but I could extend invites to old names, too, if folks were up for it.

Better wait for Dalty to show up, so at least we have some modicum of activity. It's kind of like he's being blocked by that volcanic cloud nemesis of his.

I know which ones you don't want, so I know which ones to be sure to invite.
Then again, if I invite some of the ones you like, I can't guarantee they won't turn around and invite some of the ones you don't.

Current Annoyances
I actually have several, so I'll make a list.

- The weather in fucking Chicago. I'm here for two days for an interview and right as I step off the train I'm greeted by rain. Yeah, thanks, Chicago - fuck you, too! I have an umbrella, so that wasn't a big deal, but it was raining heavily enough that by the time I reached my hotel, my suitcase was soaked through and my nice silk tie got wet. I spent like 15 minutes drying it with a hair dryer. I don't care what neglet says about Chicago, it can go fuck itself up its Chicago ass.
- The only language this site allows me to choose is British English. I'M SORRY, I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMURRCA!
- The max file size for avatars on this site is 6KB. Are you shitting me? Is this 1999?
- There is no plain-text editor and I can't get the stupid list tags to work in the rich-text editor.

Re: Current Annoyances
I ought to explain how lists are made for those who aren't super familiar with UBB code.

Re: Current Annoyances
I haven't done UBB code in a while, but it turns out I still remember how to do a lot of it.
Here are a few things about list coding the UBB way for future reference (though Jubbers may be able to personalize the editor for us a bit):
Here are a few things about list coding the UBB way for future reference (though Jubbers may be able to personalize the editor for us a bit):
- Begin with the word "list" in brackets. If you try to use the buttons in the editor, it will add an equals sign. Get rid of the equals sign unless you mean to define the kind of list you want to make. Once it is removed, it will default to bullet points.
- If you want your list to be alphabetical, keep the equals sign and follow it with an A. If you want it numbered, follow the equals sign with a 1. You can also do a lower-case version. Can you do subpoints/nesting? I dunno. You can give it a try. I would, but... lazy.
- You use bracketed asterisks to create list items whether or not you plan to go the bullet route.
- You don't have to do anything to close a specific list item beyond creating a new list item. It's similar to HTML. No closing tag is required. That said, you can still put it there if you want. It won't do any harm.
- You close a list by putting a (forward) slash in front of the word "list" and bracketing. It probably goes without saying, but the bracketed "/list" goes at the end of the list.

Thanks, Goits! Now, can Jubbers do something about the ridiculously small maximum file size of avatars? Increase it to 500 KB, at least!

Re: Current Annoyances
Is it actually expensive to increase the maximum allowed file size?

So Goits has to suck a few cocks. It's worth it to get my avatar!

(I'm a little disappointed this picture didn't end up being 100K even size-wise.)Mal Shot First wrote:Is it actually expensive to increase the maximum allowed file size?
It is not in itself expensive. Opening the gate costs nothing, but that doesn't mean the flood it unleashes won't do something. There should be some sort of limit, so that the pages don't load slowly, or so a spam overload of large files doesn't kill the server, etc.

"Has to" suck a few cocks? What's so bad about sucking a few cocks? I mean, it's not my favorite thing to do, but I can think of way worse things to do to get Mal his Ks.Quasar wrote:So Goits has to suck a few cocks. It's worth it to get my avatar!
Now, if you want somebody who'll suck a cock, you want Ol' Beau Watkins. I once saw him suck a whole bag of cocks. With his mouth closed. Upside down and submerged in a tank of water.
Water made of acid. So not really water, then, but acid.

I was at that same show I think, I had N'sync tickets.
I may be mistaken.
