Will Canada annex the Turks?

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Your headline was misleading. I thought maybe some of those world-famous RCAC tanks were about to be parachuted into Ankara.
Such a move surely would have hurt Turkey's EU candidacy.

Turkey might be a bit much for us right now.
I can see a lot of benefits to adding T&C to our little confederation. We'd have an equatorial rocket launch platform, for one.

And missiles! Don't forget missiles!
Cuba had some missiles this one time. It did wonders for tourism.

True, the whole Castro thing led to mixed results. But at least we got Gloria Estefan and Andy Garcia out of it.
As well as Pitbull. And... cocaine.
Gee, I had a point once.

You got Cuban cigars, didn't you? I was under the impression that they're not illegal in Canada.

Oh yeah. Once you've had real Cubans, there's just nothing else like it.

We had an American guy at our Co that wasn't even allowed to handle Cuban clients documents. Crazy.

Re: Will Canada annex the Turks?
Yup. But his nationality meant he wasn't allowed to do anything for Cuban clients.

Re: Will Canada annex the Turks?
Had this discussion with my ex-wife. She wanted to go on holiday to Cuba. I pointed out that she wasn't allowed. She actually said "I am an American, I can go damn well anywhere!" or words to that effect.
I had to point out that this was exactly the reason she couldn't go, and that it was her own government stopping her.
In all fairness the Cubans probably would have let her in. It's just the Cuban stamp in her US passport that would have made things all kinds of interesting next time she went home to visit her folks.
