I'm going today. Richard Dreyfuss couldn't show, boo.
I might buy a t-shirt or something. And leer at cosplay.
Toronto Fan Expo 2014
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

It's folly to expect Richard "No Show" Dreyfuss to show up at any kind of con or expo.

Re: Toronto Fan Expo 2014
More's the pity.
I went with my Dad, who at 79 is still very much the sf fantasy fan. I had to explain what steampunk means, then I had to explain cyberpunk, then we had a discussion about how the meaning of the word punk has changed over the years, followed by a senior citizen rant about how the English language is being degraded just like everything else, etc...
I bought some books and an Archer t-shirt. People said, "cool shirt," which is about 85% of the reason for doing such a thing.
A few Bronies, but I don't judge. Lots of cosplay. I felt like I should go to jail just for being in the same room as some of them.
