Had laparoscopic surgery today. It was to get a diagnosis for various GI troubles I've been having since Jubboiter burst forth and I had my kidney and gallbladder stones. Over the past year, I've been tested for Crohn's and other IBD things, which all came back negative, and today they were looking for Endometriosis, but they didn't find that either. Instead it seems that I had massive scar tissue and multiple adhesions on my intestines back from when I had my appendix removed... 22 years ago. My OBGYN removed a bunch of that bad stuff during the operation, so we'll see if I start feeling any better. I'll get to talk to him in person about it on Wednesday (Goiter was the middle-man messenger today while I was all groggy).

My tummy hurts.

Jubboiter's been with Goiter's mom the past two days. Lord help us all, she put pink sparkle shoes on the Ruler of Worlds.

Oh goodness. Will they need to do additional surgery to remove more scar tissue if you still have pain or does that mean something else is wrong?

Just to be clear, the titular "Ow" has only to do with the pink sparkle shoes. They're Dora the Explorer shoes, by the way. They smell like a just-out-of-the-box dildo.

Yesterday was full of unpleasant smells. Goiter ate Greek Yogurt in the car. In the car! In the car! Goiter's mom and her friend both smoke, and Goiter's mom attempts to hide that smell with various sprays. And then the smelly-sparkle shoes! Yuck!

I'm not sure if I'll have to have further work or not, Scarlet, or if I'll have to go see yet another specialist, etc. I suppose I'll find all of that out Wednesday.

I had a root canal yesterday. It didn't hurt much yesterday, but it's a little tender today.

I dislike that you are dealing with pain and weird smells, but I'm also curious as to why Goiter knows what an out of the box dildo smells like..... no wait... I actually don't want to know.

I've had two laser laparoscopies, because I do have endo. I usually felt close to normal after 5 days, so hopefully you will recover swiftly, too. And if you don't have endo, maybe that will take care of it! It's no fun to have stuff growing where it shouldn't.

Goiter will be sipping on some German beer. We picked it up after his root canal. He can't have his chewing gum, or hard stuff, etc, so it seemed like the nice thing to get him.

On a separate note, Jubboiter is starting to figure out doors. She yanks on door handles and is figuring out how to turn knobs. When we dropped her off with her grandma, she pointed at the door and cried "bitte bitte bitte...." She also took my keys from me, and pushed them onto the door handle, since she thinks that's how keys work. It was heartbreaking.

We didn't actively teach it to her. She seems to have picked it up.

What really happened is this: what she says sounds exactly like it, and she says it when she wants something. We decided we would pad out her vocabulary by declaring that it's one of her words.

My poor baby boy. (Ok, he's 20) just discovered he does not have horrible strep throat, he has horrible mono. They said his tonsils were practically swollen together, so they gave him steroids ... but as yet he can't swallow enough to take them. Luckily my parents are back from Florida so he can crash there and try to recover.

I blame the new girlfriend.
