I've always assumed it was awesome, since St. Louis is awesome, and since St. Louis and Detroit seem to trade the "Most Dangerous City in the U.S." title back and forth from year to year.

There is much that is cool about Detroit. I'm not sure it's a great tourist attraction, but there some cool things to do.

For me, Detroit means Motown. That makes it pretty cool in my book. It's one of my favorite music cities.
