We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.
Viz Media has finally convinced Toei to give them the North American rights... to everything. The old show, the movies, the new show starting in July. Everything. (Not in the article: Toei has resisted this for over a decade because of how bad Sailor Moon was handled here in the past by DIC, etc. and Sailor Moon's creator Naoko Takeuchi was especially pissed by the censoring, editing, etc.)
Hulu is going to start streaming classic Sailor Moon, starting with four episodes and adding 2 a week.
The new series Sailor Moon Crystal will be streamed here alongside its release in Japan.
DVDs of the classic series and movies will start coming out in Fall.
I have to share with you guys rather than post about it on Facebook because if I mention Sailor Moon at all, my dad will immediately pop on to say "Oh, it's that whiney bitch."
Toei has a long history of holding out. This time, it seems like they're more in the right. (Sure, it was on the creator's behalf. But still!) With the Voltron situation, it seemed like they were more in the wrong.
Omigod! Omigod! Omigod! Sailor moon was totally my guilty secret pleasure a few years back. But I may have to wait until fall after my son leaves, so I don't get teased too badly.
Admittedly I see some cosplay pics and think I really need to find a nice geek girl. Preferably one who lives in San Diego! Is there a geek dating website out there somewhere?
Yes, if I go there attempting any of those shenanigans, I think I end up on some kind of register somewhere and banned from going within 250 metres of a school.
I would think there are several advantages to an MLP, mainly that it combines the tax benefits of a limited partnership (the partnership does not pay taxes from the profit - the money is only taxed when unitholders receive distributions) with the liquidity of a publicly traded company.
