ROM/PC to HDTV setup

For the games we already own, of course.

I'm not talking anything fancy here, but I'm thinking of moving our pretty much obsolete computer tower into the living room and attaching it permanently via HD cable to the HDTV.

This would allow me access to the ROMS, to the games I already own of course, but to play them on a bigger scale.

I'm thinking a wireless keyboard/mouse will suffice, but I've heard you can get an SNES controller replica device (legally for all the legal games I own)

You can't fool me with all that "legal" talk, Hicks. You're a thievy, thieving thief, Mr. Theft Thieverton. Your favorite Commodore 64 game is Superman: The Man of Steal. Your favorite Atari 2600 game is BurgleTime. Your favorite Konami port for the ColecoVision is Rob'n Rope.

You mean this, Hicksie?

I don't know if you have any of your old SNES controllers lying around, but I have three of them that still work. A while ago, I ordered a SNES-to-USB adapter that I now use for playing ROMs.

Works like a charm and doesn't require any installation - just plug and play.

Those are exactly what I'm looking for. They should make it very easy to play all of my legally obtained ROMs going forward.
