The Pro Wrestling Thread
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

You owe me five dollars. I Internetted it before the revocation, just to see if the pun were sustainably pardonable.

I will more than likely use the five dollars on Hardee's.
I'm too far away to spend it on Carl's Jr.

How can you possibly expect me to identify A.J. Styles when his giant-ass AJ tattoo is covered up like that? (Does it still count if I don't call him Allen Jones?)

Just go on ahead and PayPal the five bucks to my smurfthumper@yahoo.com account. Thanks to Huffy Flounce, I already know you feel that "PayPal is a wonderful thing." I also know that "[your] card, PayPal, and [your] checking account are all the same thing."

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Didn't have time to respond earlier regarding Extreme Rules and the following night's RAW, but let me begin by saying: A-NEEEE-HAAAWWWW! SETH'S BACK, BABY!
Now let me follow that up by saying: Aw HELL NAAAW! Why are you forcing him to play a heel, Vince, you 'roided up geriatric tool?!? I mean, don't get me wrong -- Rollins is TERRIFIC as a heel, but surely it's time to respond to the *natural* reactions of the fans and turn Reigns heel while allowing Rollins to be the babyface. Unless they're building up to it. I could see them doing that. I could also see them keeping Reigns face FOREVER. Until he joins WCW: The Next Gen five years from now, grows his goatee out into a bushy-tipped mustache and goes around killing opponents with the Superman Fingerpoke of Doom.
This storyline with AJ and The Club (ugh) HAS to be leading to Balor's introduction, right? Please don't tell me he's going to pair up with some upper-midcard wrestler who isn't in a program right now. That would most definitely NOT be "phenomenal."

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Exactly. Exactly! There's a great, organic story to be told around Face Rollins vs. Heel Reigns, but they're just flailing around at everything they can to avoid that. It's maddening.
How're you feeling about the brand split? I can easily see Styles being the face of Smackdown, couldn't you? I'd say against a monster heel Balor, but I think Balor would be in that unique club with Rollins among active wrestlers who are going to be cheered at this point because of how much the performers are loved, not anything to do with the characters.
You know, a sort of reverse X-Pac Heat.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Well, we might be waiting longer to get Balor, because Styles just turned heel and attacked Cena on this week's RAW. Not sure if he, Anderson, and Gallows were just feigning animosity earlier or if he suddenly snapped, but either way, it seems they're already putting him in "above main event" programs where the lack of a championship belt doesn't matter.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
*sigh* I'm about ready to cancel the Network subscription again. Why turn AJ heel?! WHY?! Are they that desperate for heels?? I thought they were desperate for faces?! But I suppose Super Cena is back now so that's all covered.
Such erratic storytelling since Mania (and before, if you count the sheer pointlessness of the Shane/Undertaker story). Just bizarre.

Does it have anything to do with Netflix and Jenji Kohan?
