Noteworthy Video Dump

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Whore me tender!
Whore me true!
All my dreams fulfilled!
For, my darling, I whore you,
And I always will!

That was cute. I was hoping James would be going in that direction, considering how close to Halloween he posted it. He's clearly learned a lot about production value and effects from his time on the movie. I think my favorite effect was one of the subtler ones: the hand print appearing in the dust on the screen at roughly 18:34.

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
The last two seconds make the whole video worth it.
An amusing exchange on a YouTube upload of "Ghost Love Score":
Kzinssie (porygonlover322)
Everybody talking about JonTron and a bunch of other LP shit. This is still a YTMND song as far as I'm concerned. Get off my lawn.
Mojo
+Kzinssie (porygonlover322) Get off my world and die, gramps.

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
I just discovered this channel on YouTube where they make modern trailers for classic movies. They're really good at it and the results are usually surprisingly effective. The two trailers below got me pumped up to rewatch both of those movies.

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
I don't know that this is necessarily a "noteworthy" video, but I find it an amusing attempt to make my hometown look larger than it is with aerial shots and shots of the same quarter-mile stretch from a variety of angles:
(My mother makes a surprise cameo at the 1:32 mark.)

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
They have soccer in Alabama?! Or is that kid at 1:07 just wearing the jersey because of the Stars and Stripes?
Also, I think that town motto at the end may need an asterisk:
*...unless you're non-white, non-Protestant.

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
I think they've very recently started having soccer in Crossville. Something like 75% of the elementary school attendees Hispanic. There's been a lot of white flight. Our biggest and nearest rival, Geraldine, now schools the vast majority of my classmates' children. It's simultaneously amusing and anger-inducing. They bitch about how Crossville is "overrun." They send their kids to the school of their one-time sworn enemies. (It was never friendly rivalry. The two towns fucking hated each other when I was a kid. It was like Springfield and Shelbyville, but with farm hicks.)

Another fun fact: the tiny strip of stores at the 26-second mark used to have the only chain-restaurant in Crossville, a Subway. It did not last! No more Subway!

Re: Noteworthy Video Dump
In the eighties, there was a Pasquale's Pizza across from the elementary playground. It had been a laundromat before it had been a Pasquale's Pizza.
Pasquale's Pizza was a chain. It was, apparently, a very small and very local chain. I didn't realize this until moving away.
The other Pasquale's Pizza I knew of as a kid was in Boaz. It continues to be in Boaz. I think it may be the last of its kind. The pizza is pretty shitty--somewhere just below Chuck E. Cheese's pizza, quality-wise--but they have a cheap buffet and pour Thousand Island dressing on their ham-and-cheese sandwiches, so my mom still likes to go there.
There are other Pasquale's Pizzas in other places in the US that seem sorta legit. It's clear from looking at their menus and logos that they have nothing to do with the Pasquale's Pizzas I knew growing up.

I should have specified that by "chain restaurant" I meant a "chain restaurant that exists in multiple states."

This reminds me of the time that I planned to do a "Thuille's Theme Goes with Everything" YTMND site. I didn't, of course, because I almost never do.
