I shouldn't be forced to swear, weep a little and demand the help of a deity each time I pee.

Keep your eyes dry and do all the weeping from your ding-dong.

I took home pills with me from the hospital and took 1 whenever I thought I started to feel the metal staples in me. I thought they helped me.
Then a few months later I got a high ankle sprain, and I couldn't sleep at all from the pain, so I took a pill. Didn't do shit. I thought, hey, I'm a big guy, I should take 2. Nothing. I took 3, much to the protests of my friends. I actually felt some relief then during the day, but still had trouble sleeping. I finally settled on 4 pills per night so I could sleep. Needless to say, I went through my pills like gangbusters.

I am so freakin' bored with this now. It has gone beyond amusing anecdote to discuss at a future date, and is into seriously ranty story territory.

How many tubes? Might one go so far as to say it's a series of tubes?

You could refer to this as a series, yes.

So, just to be clear:
It's a series of tubes, and it's not a big truck. RIght?
