Adam's Free Screenings Thread

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Sure, as long as you take one step up and walk like a cautious man when you're alone--especially if you ain't got enough spare parts to cover two faces.

There's actually a line in Spare Parts which says "Bobby said he'd pull out. Bobby stayed in."

So that seems appropriate.

Carry on, Goiter. I'm on fire.

You can't jump albums like that!

At least not until Valentine's Day.

So, through a series of both fortunate and unfortunate events, I got to see Rosewater for free after all.

You might say I live in Lucky Town.

If I should fall behind my beautiful reward in better days, I might have to take a leap of faith and say you are living proof of the big, muddy local hero.

My local hero actually lives in Nebraska. His name is Johnny 99.

I have reason to believe he's the same former highway patrolman from Atlantic City who moved into my father's mansion on the hill and opened up an all-night used car lot that catered exclusively to state troopers.

It's just the three of us, Dalty.

You, me, and all that stuff we're so scared of.

Damn. Goiter gets a bad rap in that one.

Just got an invite to a 7:30 screening of The Wedding Ringer.

A) That doesn't look very good
B) That's too short of notice.

I passed, but did forward it on to a friend so it may not go to waste.

That friend, however, was not Goiter. Sorry, Goiter.

Just snagged two tickets to the inexplicable theatrical release of the pilot episode of Empire. I have no interest in this show at all, but it'll be an hour of my life and for some inexplicable reason, popcorn and soda will be provided. I'll be damned if I'm ever gonna turn down free food.

He wrote the screenplay, unless I'm quite mistaken.
