We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I've watched it about 10 times now.
I've since moved on to watching black* people's reaction videos on YouTube.
*Afican-American is the politically correct term, except I'm not sure most of these guys reside in the US. They are more African-Australian.

Outsydr once got peeved at me for using the word "mulatto" to describe Barack Obama's ethnicity. I gently reminded him that while that may be considered an offensive term to mixed-race Americans, it was not so to literally millions of other such folks around the world, particularly South American mulattoes.

I used "Damn it" in pretty much the same way when I sent Jubbers the teaser URL.Mal Shot First wrote:Damn it, they really might manage to get me excited about this movie.

Here's more of the conversation:
Goiter: STARWARSSTARWARSSTARWARSSTARWARSSTARWARS
Jubbers: Star Wars?
Goiter: That's the one. Watched the new trailer. I guess I still care. Damn it.

I am just remembering my pre-TPM euphoria and keeping it in check.
Although, TPM did lead me to internet movie discussion boards and therefore, by extension, you lot! So not all bad.

By the way, anyone else notice that's 'Star Wars' Chewie, not 'Empire' or 'Jedi' Chewie??

I don't see a whole lot of difference from SW to ESB (he's a little wavier when he's on Endor, but I always just assumed it was the humidity), but if there is, maybe Abrams and crew got together and asked themselves which ones audiences felt most comfortable with.
What are some of the differences between the SW and ESB Chewbaccas? I guess the face of the ESB Chewie looks slightly longer, though maybe I'm just imagining a difference because I'm trying too hard to see one. I guess the ESB Chewie looks slightly more convincing, maybe, and a little leaner? Maybe his lips are slightly darker, and maybe the hair around the lips is slightly fuller? I'm doing some side-by-side comparisons, and they look pretty similar to me.

Chewie in ANH looks like he does in this trailer. Like he takes two bottles into the shower and conditions for a shinier, fuller coat.
ESB and ROTJ Chewie is significantly more unkempt. It's mostly in the head and face hair.

Maybe the filmmakers meant to reflect that Chewie was constantly on the run once he became part of the Rebellion. No time for a shampoo.
Maybe he now has time for a shampoo.

Being on the run from a sadistic Galactic overload with limitless reach is no excuse to ignore personal grooming.

I like that they are forgoing the bullshit and showing us good stuff.
JJ can direct emotion, and I'm already growing fond of Boyega/Ridley.
Man there are going to be some tough moments in this film. There's no way all of the old guard survives. Those will be some gut wrenching moments.

Did I already make the joke on this board about how all he did was change his hair color to go undercover and about how, despite this relatively minor sacrifice, Mon Mothma made it sound like a big deal?
If I already made this joke, I'll be sure not to make it again.
