We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Re: American Idol
So it looks like AI has decided to do away with the obviously terrible auditions, which is a little bit of a surprise since it's been a staple of the show since its inception. I wonder if they're trying to copy The Voice, as The Voice has never done terrible auditions. Which makes sense because the terrible auditions would feel extra pointless combined with the blind auditions. I think AI has always overdone the terrible auditions, but still I would like it if they threw one in there once in a while. They're always good for a laugh.

The ONLY reason to watch these ducking shows is to mock the deluded retard special mongoloids whose Grannies have convinced them that they can sing.

Re: American Idol
Except it seemed like 95% of the sucky auditions were deliberately crap so they could get on TV. No one likes a show off.Bananarama's Bouncy Bits wrote:The ONLY reason to watch these ducking shows is to mock the deluded retard special mongoloids whose Grannies have convinced them that they can sing.

Re: American Idol
Yeah, one viewing game is to categorise them into:
A) deluded
B) just wanted to be on TV
C) actually can sing but choked and went to pieces
D) doing it for a bet

Re: American Idol
Pretty harsh twist last night. They had a bunch of the contestants audition in an airplane hangar right after arriving in Hollywood, separated them into 2 groups, then put each group on a bus. One bus would take them to their hotel, the other would take them to the airport. But they wouldn't know until they got there! Of course you could tell which bus was which because of which contestants were in the groups. Still, kind of assholish of the producers.
Another move that was actually kind of clever was they had a line of auditioners with one guy who really stood out, and had him set forward. So anyone else asked to step forward would feel good because they were in the same group as the stand-out guy. But then they asked him to step back. Whoops! Talk about getting the rug pulled out!

In the old days you were allowed to go into mental asylums and toy with the gibbering inmates as a form of entertainment.

Re: American Idol
I really wish Hulu had more than just clips of American Idol. I'm not interested enough to download episodes, but I'd be happy to watch them streaming.
