What Are You Watching Right Now - Not Adam Dancing!!!

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. Good riddance.

It'll come back in 20 years when box office enters a decline phase. It always does.

Avatar's 3D didn't suck. Gravity was also pretty damn special. Everything else...... yeah, kinda did!

Don't know, most importantly when it doesn't require every person round your house watching a movie with you to wear a pair of $50 glasses then it may have a chance.

All the Smart TV apps for 3D are gone from my menu, and Sky that had 20+ 3D channels back in the day now has the grand total of one.

It's on life support.

I watched Funny People this morning. It followed the Apatow pattern to a T. Not bad, pretty good even, but 45 minutes longer than necessary.

I saw it in 3D. There was one point when the Star Destroyer flies out of the screen and I literally caught myself looking over my left shoulder to see how far it extended off the screen. It was definitely one of the best 3D shots I've seen in a movie.

The part in bold is also part of the Apatow pattern, after all.

Yeah, that was definitely a standout for me too, no pun intended.

Oh, who am I kidding. Pun intended.

That's the part to which I meant to refer as the Apatow pattern.

Watching the arrivals board at Heathrow waiting for the return of Future Ex-Mrs Dalty who returns from visiting the family. 4:30am start. Next time she can get a cab!!!!

My drive to the airport was livened up though by listening to this weeks Wittertainment in the car and a little scamp called Skoglund getting himself on the radio!

Spider-Man 3.

Not as bad as I remembered, but still should have completely ditched Sandman and just had it as Symbiote Afflicted Spidey vs Vengful Osbourne Jr as the only story - maybe setting up Venom as the cliffhanger. Then it would have been A.O.K.

Really? I felt like the Sandman side story was the only one handled with any care or passion. It just got wrapped up poorly--in large part because of all the balls Raimi was juggling. Church is good in the role, and he's a villain you can actually feel bad for. Like Doc Ock. I'd rather have seen no symbiote, no Eddie Brock, and no Harry-as-Goblin.

I've read that Raimi really only wanted to stick with the classic villains and that Venom was pushed on him by the studio. Not sure if it's true. It feels like it's true, maybe, if only because the Venom stuff really doesn't work for me.

I thought the Harry / Goblin story kinda had to come now, at this point, after everything in Spidey I and II. The symbiotic stuff added a good angle to that with Peter standing up to Harry outside the mask.

Not saying that Sandman wasn't done OK, it's just that in an crowded movie he was superfluous.

Take all that shit out, and he's not. The could have somebody shoot Harry in the brain and kill him in the opening seconds. Cut their losses. Make a decent movie about a dopey bad guy crimin' it up to help his kid. Hell, maybe they link Spider-Man to Harry's death or some shit and add a little extra drama with J. Jonah Jameson.

Seriously, though. I like Franco from time to time, but he's goofy as hell in that role. They've got him doing some Hayden-Christensen-as-Anakin-level shit.

I've been finishing off the 1st season of House of Cards. Definitely the overall best series of the ones I've been touting for awhile.

Peter Russo. I definitely have NOTHING in common with this guy.
