The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Re: The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
Thus far you're getting 10-20 sample size boxes of cereal, a box of Cocoa Puffs bars (if I can find them) and an autographed 8x10 glossy photo of Adam Skoglund.
Any other requests?

Can you include another 999 of the autographed glossies, and could you figure out some way to make them dance?

She's moving around! I just checked. She's in Springfield, Illinois these days. That's FAR closer to Goiter than to me, I'll let him handle that one.

I could throw in a guitar after I learn how to make it talk? The Swollen Goiter of God wrote:Can you include another 999 of the autographed glossies, and could you figure out some way to make them dance?

Should I link to the recent photo I found of Dr. Magic, or are you all able to be that creepy without my help?

Your situation differs from Dre's situation in that you actually did get capped.

I should have cited your original comment before you changed it. Fuck it, I'll still post my response to it and let everyone else figure out what you wrote. That'll learn ya.The Swollen Goiter of God wrote:Your situation differs from Dre's situation in that you actually did get capped.
Don't forget GTA: San Andreas - I also know my rap from there. I guess there's some overlap between San Andreas and Boyz n the Hood, Friday, and other black pop culture sources from the early 90s.
I guess I do also have a copy of The Chronic. Office Space got me interested in the Geto Boys, so I also have a copy of The Resurrection. The only other rap/hip-hop album I have is Joyful Rebellion by K-OS.
That's basically it, though.

Re: The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
I sometimes come up with two or three responses to a post, settle for the one I think is funniest, and then change my mind seconds after posting. I'm usually able to pull off the switcheroo without anyone noticing. Well, now that Quasar's no longer posting. That motherfucker was somehow able to catch every edit I made.
In this case, I just couldn't satisfy myself with the wording. The original comment--itself edited a few times--was "Mal only knows rap if it came from Friday or Office Space, but he knows that rap well."
That post triggered, for whatever reason, a different song from the one you were referencing. It made me think, specifically, of a line from Mack 10's "Take a Hit" (featured on the Friday soundtrack): "Make you tweak, lose sleep, I creep like a phantom." There's a mention of "magic potion" after that line. That may have factored into the triggering.
It wasn't until after I had finessed my post a couple times that I remembered the line from "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang."

16 tiny boxes of cereal have been purchased. The hunt for Cocoa Puffs bars will expand into another store or two.
Tell me your experience with Pop-Tarts. Do I need to send you some Pop-Tarts?

I know all about pop-tarts. Get it wrong and it's like giving an active volcano a blowjob.

Re: The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
Ha! Pretty much.
Okay, no Pop-Tarts. I'll keep hunting down the cereal bars.
Side note: Does any one here NOT toast their Pop-Tarts? I ate a cold one once (I was curious!) and it was the end of my love affair with Pop-Tarts. I don't think I've eaten once since. Just disgusting.

I think it depends on which flavor you have. The cinnamon ones are okay when they're cold, in my opinion. The fruit-flavored ones are better toasted. Obviously, the s'mores type has to be toasted for full effect.

Ah, that may well be. I think it was a strawberry one I tried cold. Never again.

I eat them cold. Jubboiter eats them cold. Toasters cost money and require electrical outlets. We have one working electrical outlet in our kitchen. It's in a weird place.

Damn it, now I've got to send you a toaster and a power strip. After Dalty gets his cereal of course.

Re: The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
If I ever used the toaster for a Pop Tart, Jubbers would never again be able to use the toaster. That wouldn't be nice. It's best just not to have a toaster.

All right, a toaster, a power strip, and a box of gluten free Pop-Tarts.
I spoil you all, I really do.

Gluten's not the issue. It's dairy.
