The Breakfast Cereal Roundup

We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Email me your address, Dimple. I'll work on this. It's the least I can do after name-dropping you on BBC Radio without your consent.Dalty wrote:This is all part of my cunning plan to get my American friends to ship me US food!!

For a moment I thought negs was talking about granola bars... You know, the kind that you eat.

Cereal bars seem like a dumb idea. A bowl of cereal is easy enough to prepare that it seems unnecessary to have someone do it for you and pay for the service.
Next you're gonna tell me there are places you can go to have someone shave you!

I had a few other childhood favorites. I dug Smacks. Kix was a favorite. Cap' Crunch was good. The Swollen Goiter of God wrote:If we're talkin' childhood favorites, of course, there's this:
I didn't have any real allegiances. Like a true American Blue Blood, my choice of cereal was often dictated by which of the included toys best grabbed my attention.

Ooo I forgot about Kix. They were good. I love CTC and Cheerios, both plain and honey-nut flavored. Haven't tried any of the other flavors, except I think someone bought me a box of peanut-butter flavored cheerios once.
As an aside, does everyone eat cereal with milk? I personally only eat it dry. Not sure why, maybe I had a bowl of something once that had sat too long and was just a soggy mess and it scarred my little child psyche.

I eat it dry or with a tiny bit of water sprinkled on it. We don't really do milk anymore. Jubbers is severely allergic to it. I eat an occasional candy or ice cream with dairy ingredients, and Jubboiter sometimes has cheese, but we have to be pretty careful not to cross-contaminate.

I usually do milk, although with mini wheats sometimes I eat them dry and sip the milk afterward. And there are these options:

I can't imagine eating cereal without milk. Especially with the chocolate ones like Coco Pops you are totally missing out on the chocolate milk experience.omicron wrote:As an aside, does everyone eat cereal with milk? People willingly eat dry cereal? Really?? Like...an entire bowl full, or just a handful here or there?
Cereal bars are disgusting though, you'll hear no argument here.

As long as that's not a euphemism for getting women drunk and date-raping them, I'm cool with it.

Re: The Breakfast Cereal Roundup
Oh shit, I just realized this is a thread about breakfast!
Umm... So...., yeah, I enjoy a heated piece of bread with some peanut butter and jam. Or potentially olive oil and hummus. Twice a week I have toast with scrambled egg.
I'm sure these were eggs given up for adoption by fully consenting chickens.

I'd forgotten things like that existed, to be honest. When I was referring to cereal bars, I had things of this sort in my head:The Swollen Goiter of God wrote:This one's decent:
