To answer that you have to go further back and look at the Obama administrations genuine lean towards larger trade agreements with blocs rather than individual nations. But this doesn't necessarily serve America best.

Britain First is a kind of low-cal, low-rent extreme right-wing fringe movement that attracts the shaven headed and tattooed variety of individual with a perpetually angry face who might own a bull terrier and mortgage arrears. They have a plan for revolution that, as far as I can tell, basically involves posting mildly unkind things about immigrants on Facebook.

As well as the mental illness it is far more likely to be motivated by diametrically opposed views, foreign aid and this MP being nice to brown people than anything to do with the EU.

If it's being reported their as an EU thing then your media have probably got the wrong end of the wrong stick.
