What are you lookin' at?! Right now...

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Finally got around to seeing "John Wick". Wow. Just wow. The bar has been raised when it comes to action movies with this one. It's amazing eye candy from start to finish. I know Reeves did not invent the "gun kata" movie but man he has really helped expand the genre.

I rewatched American Beauty tonight.

True to the final statements made by Spacey's character, I now understand.

Trainspotting. I'm not much of a drug guy, but I definitely understand addiction. A true masterpiece.

Shit, so did I, just now.

Is this a huge mistake? Or will it redeem any number of sequels, remakes, reboots etc, which we have been subjected to over the past several years.

Didn't John Wick prompt Key and Peele to make Keanu?

Fourest doesn't tell you, but the background music is a sample of Michel Polnareff's awesome "Voyages":

Just saw Taika Watiti's latest, "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople." Sam Neill as a cranky dude hiding with His foster kid in the NZ bush. Made me laugh harder than any movie in quite a while; also brought me close to tears. See it if you can.

Ben Gardner / Boat / Hooper bit..... leapt clean off couch. Mission accomplished!

Ever noticed how people watching this movie for the first time draw their feet off the floor and onto the couch?
