What are you lookin' at?! Right now...

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I hate this movie because it's so relentlessly horrible to everyone in it! It's a good movie, just reached a point where it's hard to watch.

Never watching that again. Don't think I could cope. Knowing it's based on a true story makes it worse.

If it makes you feel any better, Jon Krakauer says the movie is "total bull."

Whether or not he's full of shit (he almost certainly is; he doesn't seem to be above shaping a narrative to push his pet version of things), he's the kind of guy I tend not to care for. He makes heroes of self-important assholes and champions the privileged white guy idea of "finding oneself."

I don't want to post the shitty Avicii song, despite the appropriateness of its lyrics. Instead, I'll post the following two songs, since I feel both are superior to the shitty Avicii song, and since you can combine their titles to get (most of) the desired line:

I rewatched Breaking Bad these past two weeks. Having only taken in the series earlier this year.

It's that good.

Yep, watched the movie last month and just finished "Into Thin Air," Krakauer's account of what happened. Brains just don't work up that high.

I've been considering doing some swimming in Lake Ontario, since I am close to it.

Jaws might screw that one up for me. It's gotten a lot cleaner lately, but it's still kinda...murky. :o

Guardians of the Galaxy is now on Netflix.

If anyone needs me I'll be indulging my borderline masturbatory Nebula fantasies for awhile.

And now it's Pulp Fiction.

Because what good is a mid-life crisis if you don't go back in time 20 years or so, once in a while.

Just got back from seeing Star Trek Beyond. It's pretty groovy and a little bit sad.
