Someone should explain to him that separation between church and state.

When I was listening to the radio in my car this morning, they played a soundbite of one of the opponents of the law upheld by the Supreme Court (I think he was an evangelical preacher; sorry, I was driving and wasn't paying full attention). He said something similar about having to choose between obeying the law of God or the law of Man, making it clear that he will stand with God by throwing a copy of the gay marriage law on the ground and stepping on it. In addition, he stated something to the effect that Christians would have to protect their values against the militant homosexuals (again, sorry about the bad paraphrasing).
I actually did a double take in response to that. What the fuck is a militant homosexual? I don't recall seeing images of gays with guns standing outside the Supreme Court. I bet it's this damn liberal media again, hiding the truth from the poor godfearin' folk.

There is such a thing as a militant homosexual. Peter Tatchell springs to mind.

Is he an openly gay member of the military, or at least the National Guard (or some kind of rogue militia group)?

"If the officers on the streets were not in fear of losing their jobs, it wouldn't have gotten to the point it did yesterday. Officers are second-guessing every move because they're afraid they're going to be judged, by the media and by the public."
In other words: cops are finally considering the consequences of their actions.
Get a look at some of those comments.

Clearly, it's not right to pistol whip an officer during a traffic stop.
Why was the guy stopped? We're told he has a violent past, but was he doing something wrong at the time? Was he was afraid he was straight-up gonna be shot in the head regardless of whether or not he had done something wrong? If so, is the media to blame for his believing this?
Whatever the case... Alabama, Ladies and Gentlemen!

I think it may result in a different kind of leveling than expected.
