It celebrates the day we first escaped you people!

And, um, will you take us back please?

Also, isn't it the day that the ones of us that were too fucking mentalist religionist fruit loop even for us back then, who had been banished, nearly starved to death and were eventually saved by the very people you then stole a country from?

Just sayin.....!

We had our Thanksgiving over a month ago. Didn't see a thread about that! :x

The Brit who posted this thread probably should have clarified that he was addressing his US American chums, specifically.

Then again, maybe he was waiting to post this thread until both Canada and the US had had their Thanksgivings. He wasn't very specific with his initial post.

Yes, I know, Canadians are technically "Americans," much as everyone living in the Americas can be labelled as such.

Perhaps I shouldn't complain so much, my Thanksgiving donner consisted of Indian takeout.

That's "Indian" as in dots, not feathers. While we're on the subject of occasionally confusing national identifiers.

Is your thanksgiving being thankful you are not the USA at the moment?

Maybe. As I said in an earlier thread about Cdn politics, we are often 4-5 years behind the US in our federal party dominance. So we should be taking notes.
