Site Update (Potential Downtime between Feb 13-15)

I have been informed by my webhost that I have to update my PHP installation before beginning of March (or they'll do it for me). PHP is the programming language that makes these forums work.

I plan on updating everything the weekend of Feb 13. Every new version of PHP inevitably breaks some of the things that worked in previous versions, so it is possible that the site will not work properly or will be down at certain points during that weekend while I work through the bugs. So just warning you ahead of time.

I've semi-updated us here - I moved us from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.0 (we were a little behind) tonight, but next weekend's efforts will be more involved.

I have to get us up to PHP 7.4 to be compliant with my webhost. Our message board is currently a version that does not function on 7.4 (PHP needs a better numbering system. 5.6 -> 7.0 = nothing broke, but 7.0 -> 7.4 = total catastrophe if I don't prepare, and maybe even if I do), so I'll back up the site this weekend, then next weekend try to update the message board version first to something that does work on 7.4, then update the PHP. Possible that some of the awesome tweaks I've made to the site will break, but won't know until we get there.

Man, that was a terrible update process. It took multiple tries over a number of hours. We are up to the required version of PHP and the latest version of the board software now. Our spoilers tag seems to still work. So far, it looks just the header is broken - I'll fix that after dinner. Let me know if you discover any other bugs.

Header should be fixed now too.
