What are you watching right now? : The Huffy Flounce
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Eh, Penny Dreadful was okay. If you're familiar with all of the stories (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc...) the pilot didn't offer anything new. But that might change in subsequent episodes.

Timothy Dalton is still bloody brilliant, isn't he. Wish he had at least one more Bond.

He plays Bond in that. He's using a different name, but he's still clearly Bond.

Watched Game of Thrones last night. This might be their best season yet, which is really, really saying something. Peter Dinklage had better win a boatload of awards.

Just finished the first season of In the Flesh and it has me crying like crazy. This show was definitely not what I expected it to be.

It's freakin' epic. He is amazing. However knowing how this damn show/books works I always fear his time is up..... and hope I am wrong.Adam54 wrote:Watched Game of Thrones last night. The fucking RANGE on that guy is astonishing. From the growly rage during his monologue at the trial to the quiet, subdued, utter sadness in his cell during every conversation this week. His interactions with Jaime, Bronn and especially Oberyn were just remarkable. The latter was, in my opinion, one of the best scenes this show has ever done.

Watching a Horizon Special on BBC4 about the Shuttle programme. Currently a series of Commanders and Pilots describing the launch. This is incredible stuff.

Got a lot to do tonight before I head out of town tomorrow, but if not tonight, I'll be watching Animal House in the very near future. I've seen it once, but that was ~15 years ago, so it'll be like watching it for the first time all over again.

Animal House is all right. A lot of it leaves me sort of cold.

"Drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Great line. I think Animal House is so popular because a) there are some rather funny bits and good lines, and b) it's one of the few roles John Belushi did. He was so damn brilliant. Funnily enough when I helped my offsrping move out of his apartment I discovered he had a poster of Belushi from the movie, wearing a sweatshirt saying "COLLEGE."
