We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I saw that and chuckled earlier.
I thought you do not seek a banning?

I don't seek it. It doesn't mean I don't tempt it.

I'm substitute teaching (as usual) today. They're taking a test, so I'm working on dissertation stuff, goofing off on the internet, etc, and constantly running afoul of the filter (amazingly, this site is not blocked... yet).
Want to look up the Roman God Priapus on Wikipedia? Nope... Profane!
Want to check out yesterday's XKCD? Nope... Obscene!
Want to look up Veganism on Wikipedia after reading about Bill Clinton's diet? Nope... Extreme!

This particular filter is controlled by the state. My work computer, which I never get to use anymore, since I'm subbing, has a wired connection with a dedicated IP address that gets around it. Over WiFi, though, there is only filter.

Clicking "Click here" reports you to the government as a person who tried to access an extremely obscene website (at a school!) despite being warned about its extreme obscenity.

Veganism is extremely offensive. The flabby-farty-arse-shouts alone should be a criminal offence.

Re: Random
I have seen the new 300 movie in both '3D' and the traditional '2D'
To be honest the new movie is a bit plot heavy and talky to really benefit from the 3D treatment. It looked nice, but added nothing.
Thus, My opinion about 3D remains unchanged.

I saw it in 2D. It was pretty obvious which shots meant for the 3D crowd.
The movie itself was pretty dumb. It was probably a little less dumb than the original, but it was still pretty dumb.

Son of Rock. Kid Rock. Not son of The Rock, because he would just be born as awesome as his father.

Went to the symphony tonight, and midway through the first movement of Schubert #2, I look at the trumpets and think, dafuq??? Is he playing that thing sideways?
Turns out there's something called a rotary trumpet, configured sideways with keys like a French horn, and it's often played in Schubert, Beethoven, and similar pieces. It seems weird to me I had never heard of one before.
