I imagine the relationship between Luthor and Superman will be something along the lines of Adrian Veidt and Dr. Manhattan from the film version of Watchmen.

Luthor claims to want to use Kryptonian technology to better mankind, when in reality he has far more sinister motives. Batman/Bruce Wayne discovers this and attempts to thwart his plans, in both modes. Conflict ensues.

Sumthin' like that.

That would be cool. Sow the seeds of the ongoing antagonism well, especially if they play up the LexCorp / Teflon Luthor angle.

I could see Luthor and Wayne having some great scenes as business competitors. Both want to back-engineer alien science, ostensibly for humanitarian purposes. Luthor at this point is a beloved international figure, while Wayne is the DC universe equivalent of Brandon Davis(in public at least). The public and the politicians trust Luthor's motives; he uses his political connections to set Supes against Bats.
