TV Shows

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

TV Shows

Post by Quasar »

I've been seeing ads for About a Boy. I think it starts in April.

For Adam.

Is this based on the Hugh Grant movie? That was an OK movie.

Who now, in real life, gets to wake up next to Jennifer Lawrence.

Life is so unfair.

Hey, Quasar. Have you watched any of that show with Greg Kinnear that you were going to watch? If you have, how is it?

I haven't watched any Rake yet. I've been watching shows that expire from On Demand first, so that's usually Helix and Agents of SHIELD. All 3 (now 2) remaining episodes of Dracula expire on Saturday, so I'll be watching those this week. I doubt I'll get to Rake for at least another week.

Thanks, Quasar. I'd been meaning to check the premiere date of that. Looks like it actually "previews" with the pilot after the Olympics on Saturday (?) and then moves to it's regular timeslot next Tuesday. So excited. Jason Katims can do no wrong. Especially not when he's adapting one of my favorite books.

All of the above. Everybody takes a turn doing the curling and because I was vice skip of our team, every fourth turn I also got to be the guy at the end of the ice telling the curler where to aim and yelling at the sweepers whether or not they should sweep.

Does the guy at the end of the ice get to call himself a coxswain?

Do men and women never curl together?

If so, I won't tolerate this.

Oh they totally do. Just not in the Olympics. Our amateur team had a woman on it.

And seriously, Dalty. You've got the money. Give it a try! Seriously the most fun I've ever had in team sport, plus tradition dictates that all competitors go out for a beer afterwards. Win-win!

So you're saying the Olympic Committee is being sexist?

I won't tolerate this!

There's never been sexism in the Olympics before. We can't let it in. Not even a little bit. Not even with curling.

I bet when the Olympic Committee thinks of women curling, they think of this:

Sexist motherfuckers.

I think he's referring to that terrible "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" parody.
