Fantastic Four reboot
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

Pretty much the exact opposite of what I was hoping for.

But pretty much exactly what you were expecting, right?
I see they went with a five-year-old for Reed.

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
And what's the deal with Fox always getting guys who stand at 5'7" to play The Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing?
I always joke about how short Tom Hardy is, but even he's taller than Fox's Ben Grimms.
Bens Grimm?

Is it not now just a given that Fox would make a total Kanye of this?

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
The real question is whether or not this can be worse than the Tim Story movies.
Being as bad would already take a lot. Being worse is hard to imagine.

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
Either I'm getting too damn old, because I think that cast looks like children and not scientists, or this is really a film "The Fantastic Four-Year-Olds." They all look horribly miscast.

Someone on Facebook pointed out that the actor playing Reed looks like k.d. lang, and now it's all I can see when I look at him.

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
I look at Avengers and the near perfect casting of them all in their respective roles / franchises. Then I look at this cast line up and wonder what it is they don't get?

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
I really, really wish they'd let the rights revert to Marvel on this one. They still have the Mutants. The mutant movies have even been lucrative for them. The FF movies didn't make much of a splash. Most fans just wound up making fun of them.
The Fantastic Four would have been useful when bridging the gap between the Earth/Terran Marvel and Cosmic Marvel.

Re: Fantastic Four reboot
With the amount of cash currently sloshing around both sets of franchises you would think they could all get in a room and make a deal of some kind, if only for cameos and touch points to boost both franchises.
